Policies
The terms, in full.
These are the rules a booking, a pack and a membership run on. 42 of them. 4 carry a fee.
Consent, boundaries and what follows a complaint live on their own page, because they are not fine print. Read the code of conduct.
Nothing here is new. These terms came across from the policies page the studio has run on, and they are written out rather than summarized so you can see the number before it applies to you.
01
Before a class
What the room expects of you on the day.
- P-01 Doors close on the hour
-
Come ten minutes before your class. We close and lock the doors the moment it starts, and we cannot let you in after that. It applies to every class on the schedule.
Arrive 10 minutes early, doors close at the start time
- P-02 Checking in
-
Check in at the desk before your class starts. If the class has a waitlist and you have not checked in, we can give your spot to somebody waiting.
At least 5 minutes before the start
- P-03 Phones
-
Leave your phone outside the room. If you are a parent, a guardian, a carer, or you need to be reachable, tell the teacher before class and keep it with you.
02
Paying
How we take money at the desk.
- P-05 What we take
-
We take credit cards, debit cards, cash and checks.
- P-06 Card minimum
-
A card payment has a minimum. Anything above what you are buying goes onto your account as credit.
$10 minimum on a card
03
Memberships
How a membership bills, changes and ends.
- P-07 Billing cycle
-
A membership bills on a repeating cycle counted from the day you bought it.
Every 28 days
- P-09 Cancelling
-
You cancel a membership yourself. Sign in to your account, open My Account, find the membership under your active packages, and cancel it there. Nobody has to be asked and nothing has to be written.
Runs to the end of the cycle you have paid for
- P-11 No part months
-
We do not refund part of a cycle when a membership ends partway through it.
No proration
- P-12 Price changes
-
Membership prices can change. We email you before a rise reaches your membership.
A rise applies after three consecutive months from your sign-up date
- P-13 Schedule changes
-
The class schedule can change without notice. The published schedule is the one that is current.
- P-14 Guest passes
-
An All Inclusive membership brings two guests a month. A pass is for somebody who has not been here before, and one person can come in on a pass twice in a year. After that they buy a drop-in or they join. Bring a different person each time and the pass is doing what it is for.
2 a month on All Inclusive, 2 visits a year per guest
04
Packs and drop-ins
How long what you bought lasts.
- P-15 Ten class pack
-
Ten classes at twenty-five each. They do not expire, so a pack bought this year is still good next year.
No expiry
- P-16 Class drop-in
-
A single class runs from the day you buy it.
12 months from purchase
- P-16B Recovery drop-in
-
A single recovery session runs from the day you buy it. This is the short one, and it is the one people miss.
30 days from purchase
- P-17 Only for you
-
A pack or a session belongs to the person who bought it and cannot be handed to somebody else.
05
Cancelling a booking
The windows, and what it costs to miss them.
- P-18 Cancelling a class
-
Cancel a class booking ahead of the start time and the class goes back onto your account. Later than that costs a fee, or the credit.
4 hours before the start, then $15 or the credit
- P-19 Cancelling a recovery session
-
Recovery sessions have a longer window because the room holds six people. Miss it and you lose the credit.
12 hours before the start
- P-20 Not turning up
-
A booking you neither use nor cancel is still a spot nobody else could take. We deduct the class, or charge the fee.
$15 no-show fee
06
Freezing a membership
Putting it on hold rather than ending it.
- P-21 Freezing
-
You can put a membership on hold instead of ending it. A freeze starts at your next billing cycle.
Minimum 1 cycle, maximum 3
- P-22 Freeze fee
-
A freeze costs a monthly fee instead of your membership rate, for each month it is held.
$25 a month
- P-23 Asking for a freeze
-
Ask in writing before the date you want it to start.
At least 7 days ahead
- P-24 Longer than three months
-
A freeze can run past three months with written confirmation from management.
- P-25 While frozen
-
A frozen membership has no access to the building or to anything we run.
- P-26 Cancelling during a freeze
-
You can cancel while a membership is frozen, the same way you cancel any other time, from your account.
07
Workshops and events
Ticketed things are their own agreement.
- P-27 Workshops do not refund
-
A workshop or a special event is not refundable.
- P-28 Account credit
-
Cancel a workshop far enough ahead and we may be able to put the money on your account instead. Whether we can depends on the workshop, because the teacher or the visiting partner sets it. The workshop listing carries its own rule.
At least 8 days before the event
08
Refunds and transfers
The short answer is no to both.
- P-29 What we do not refund
-
We do not refund single classes, recovery drop-ins, class packages, recovery packages, healing sessions, memberships, workshops or special events.
- P-30 Nothing transfers
-
Everything you buy is for you. Packages, memberships, recovery sessions, workshops and special events cannot be moved to another person.
- P-31 Recovery credits
-
A recovery credit is for the session it was bought for. It does not move between people and it does not build up over time.
09
Breathwork and safety
Conditions to raise with a doctor first.
- P-32 Talk to a doctor first
-
Your health and safety are our top priorities. If you have any of the following conditions, please consult a healthcare professional before participating in breathwork sessions.
- Epilepsy
- Pregnancy
- Detached Retina or Glaucoma
- Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure (not managed by medication)
- Cardiovascular Disease (including prior heart attacks)
- Use of Prescription Blood Thinners (e.g., Coumadin)
- Recent Hospitalization for Psychiatric Conditions or Emotional Crisis (within the last ten years)
- Family History of Aneurysms
- Strokes, TIAs, Seizures, or other Brain/Neurological Conditions
- Diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder or Schizophrenia by a Health Professional
- Osteoporosis (where intense movement could cause physical issues)
11 conditions, carried word for word
- P-33 Asthma
-
Special Note for Asthma: Asthma does not preclude you from participating in breathwork. However, we ask that you bring your inhaler to the session for your safety.
10
Conduct
Reporting, and what follows a finding.
- P-34 Reporting an incident
-
There is an incident report form for anything that happens inside these walls, which includes physical injury, sexual harassment, touch or a boundary crossed without consent, discrimination, verbal abuse or aggression, and being left distressed by something that happened here. A form is used because a complaint said out loud gets lost.
- P-35 If a form is wrong for you
-
Reach one of us directly instead and we will build a support plan with you. Call the studio and ask for Harnoor or Diara. A person picks that up and reads it.
- P-36 Both sides get heard
-
If a report involves somebody else here, we speak to them too, so that what we decide is fair and clear.
- P-37 Level one, corrective
-
A warning, given by phone or face to face, with help on boundaries offered. This covers things like non-sexual touch without consent, or a poor read of race, gender or age.
- P-38 Level two, moderate
-
Suspension from classes, socials and workshops, and a consent and communication workshop to attend. Supervised or instructor-approved sessions may be allowed during it. We reassess before anybody comes back, and restrictions can continue. This covers consent accidents, repeated level one findings, pressure that did not lead to sexual contact, and some negligent harm.
3 month suspension
- P-39 Level three, major
-
Reviewed case by case, and it can mean a long suspension, removal, or a permanent ban. This covers unwanted sexual touch, pressure that led to sexual contact, sexual assault, rape, threatening or abusive behavior here or online, an ongoing pattern against community values, extreme intoxication, more than one earlier finding, photographs taken at an event without consent, and deliberately false reports.
12 month suspension, removal, or a lifetime ban
- P-40 Paying for the work
-
Somebody found to have crossed a line may be the one who pays for the therapy, coaching, education or mediation that follows.
- P-41 Things that happen elsewhere
-
We will look at a report about an event we did not host if it comes in written and in detail. We may look into it ourselves and act on what we find.
Ask before it costs you something.
If a term here does not match what somebody told you at the desk, say so and we will sort it out. Call 443-565-6440 or come by 107 East Preston Street.
